4.1 Scholarship A full scholarship is usually between USD 15.000,- and USD 25.000. If the university grants you a full scholarship you only need to buy your airfair (between EURO 500,- and EURO 1000,-) and bring some spending money. All the rest (housing, food, tuition and books) is paid for by the school. The team normally also gives you a training outfit and soccer shoes dependent on their sponsorship deal with high class sports companies, e.g. Xavier have a deal with Nike.

4.2 Transfer credits If you are a transfer student, your credits need to be evaluated by an official agency in New York. In order to have your credits evaluated your current University needs to translate all classes with grades you passed thus far in English before we sent them to New York. The average cost for transferring your credits is USD 250. The university offering you the scholarship will deal with this process.

4.3 SAT test Each student needs to pass the SAT test to show that you have the ability to go to college. For most international students, it will not be difficult to pass this test. You do not need to study for the test but if you gain a higher SAT score, you may well be able to access an academic scholarship alongside your athletic scholarship, therefore accessing more funding for your stay.

4.4 Administration and application TheUniversity or College offering your scholarship will guide you through the process via means of e-mail and telephone contact with the Head Coach or Assistant Head Coach. This process is very thorough and presents a personal touch to the transition between UK and USA.

4.5 The SportsMad Solutions Assessment Process In order to be evaluated, you need to apply for assessment during an Evaluation Day held at various times throughout the UK - Manchester, Birmingham and London.
